LHASA TO KATHMANDU MOUNTAIN BIKE TOUR (KATHMANDU JOINING)

The mountain bike trip from Lhasa to Kathmandu offers an incredible adventure with the longest and steepest descent in the world. Starting from the Tibetan Plateau, we will embark on a continuous downhill journey of 150 km that will take us all the way down into the lush rice fields of Nepal. This descent, totaling a staggering 4,600 m, is truly an unforgettable experience.

During the tour, we will cover over 1100 km and pass through the breathtaking Tibetan landscape. Our route takes us along crushed stone paths and through amazing mountain passes. One of the highlights of the trip is reaching the famous Rongbuk Monastery, where we will have the opportunity to see the majestic base camp of Mount Everest, located at an impressive altitude of 5200 m. What makes this tour truly unique is that it is the only one in the world that allows you to visit the base camp Everest by bike. It was at this spot on the north face that Reinhold Messner made his historic solo ascent of Everest in 1980.

During the trip, we will have comfortable accommodation in hotels and tents, which will ensure a peaceful night's sleep. Our experienced team of guides, cooks and drivers from both Nepal and Tibet will ensure a smooth operation and provide full support throughout the tour. Tours are available from April to October and offer 15 full days on the bike with comprehensive logistical assistance.

In addition to an exhilarating cycling experience, this tour also immerses you in the rich cultural tapestry of the region. You will have the opportunity to meet three religions - Buddhism, Lamaism and Hinduism - and get an insight into the mysticism of Tibetan culture. In addition, you will witness the warm hospitality of the local people and get a glimpse into the daily life of the villagers.

Embark on a mountain bike tour from Lhasa to Kathmandu and prepare for an extraordinary adventure that combines adrenaline-pumping descents, stunning landscapes and a deep appreciation of the cultural heritage of Tibet and Nepal.
