Mr. Mohan Lamsal, owner and director of Makalu Adventure Group, founded Makalu Adventure Pvt. Ltd. in 1998 after ten years in the trekking industry to provide clients with excellent planning and service. His rich experience includes exploring Nepal and Tibet, the Himalayas, solving logistical problems and developing new tourist routes.
Mr. Mohan Lamsal has been involved since last 35 years in the trekking and tourism industry and has extensive knowledge and experience. Mr. Mohan served as the General Secretary of the Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN) from 2011-2013 and served as a member of both the Nepal Tourism Board and the Nepal Travel and Tourism Association.
Mr. Mohan founded the Porters Association to ensure fair treatment and proper equipment for porters who are now insured against the risks. In addition, he represents Nepal at international travel events and promotes tourism opportunities in the region. Since 2022, he has been serving as the General Secretary of the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA).
We offer some of the most innovative treks and extreme adventures in the region, from the towering heights of Everest to the vast plains of the Terai. Makalu Adventure Pvt. Ltd. launched the Limi Valley Adventure Trek and the Nar Phu to Lo Manthang route along with a mountain bike tour from Lhasa to Kathmandu. 
Our "Lhasa to Kathmandu Mountain Bike Tour" stands out as the highest mountain bike expedition in the world and boasts the longest and steepest descent. We organize mountaineering expeditions to major peaks including Makalu, Dhaulagiri, Everest and Lhotse along with trekking tours on renowned routes such as Annapurna, Langtang and Kanchenjunga.
In addition, we provide jeep, helicopter and light 4WD travel experiences, allowing adventure seekers of all ages and abilities to experience breathtaking views of Mt Everest and other iconic locations. These trips can be combined with short or longer guided hikes in stunning remote wilderness areas.
Our cultural tours feature world heritage sites throughout the Kathmandu Valley and surrounding regions. Guests can choose between luxury and more affordable accommodation and enjoy relaxing holidays as well as adventurous trips.
