ANNAPURNA CIRCUIT TREK

Annapurna Circuit Trek is one of the most challenging and and rewarding trekking region of Nepal . This abc trek is known for its beautiful mountain views, diverse landscapes. It is a challenging but rewarding journey that takes hikers through lush forests, picturesque villages, and high mountain passes.

The Annapurna Circuit Trek usually takes 10 to 20 days, depending on the route and weather conditions. Trekkers start their journey in Besisahar and pass through several villages such as Chame, Pisang, Manang, and Jomsom. Along the way, they get breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks like Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and Machhapuchhre.

The main highlight of this  Annapurna Expedition is Thorong La Pass, which is located at an alititude of 5,416 meters. Crossing this pass is a challenging feat that offers hikers a sense of accomplishment and stunning views of the surrounding Himalayan peaks.

Apart from the natural beauty, the Annapurna Circuit Trek also offers trekkers an opportunity to immerse themselves in the local culture. The villages along the trek are inhabited by various ethnic groups such as Gurungs, Thakalis, and Manangs.     Bus to Besisahar - Local Jeep Drive to Chame (2399 m). (8hrs)

Upon arrival, travelers take a local jeep to Chame, a small town on the Annapurna Circuit trekking route.     Trek to Pisang (3300 m) 5 hours.

    The journey commences by traversing a dense forest in a rugged and slender valley, eventually crossing a river on an extensive bridge situated at an elevation of 2910 meters. Subsequently, we proceed to cross another bridge at 3040 meters, where the magnificent Paungda Danda rock face starts to come into sight. Continuing along the trail, we ascend towards Pisang, a settlement nestled between 3200 and 3300 meters above sea level.

    Trek to Manang (3540 m). 5 hours.

    Today, we proceed further into the arid northern region of the Manang district, shielded from the complete impact of the monsoon by the majestic Annapurna Range. The inhabitants of this area engage in yak herding and cultivate crops for a portion of the year. Additionally, they still benefit from exclusive trading privileges acquired as far back as 1784.

    Taking a day to acclimatize in Manang village is vital for individuals planning high-altitude treks in Nepal's Annapurna region.     Trek to Yak Kharka (4000 m) 5 hours.

    The 5-6 hours trek from Tilicho Base Camp to Yak Kharka in Nepal offers stunning views and a challenging wilderness adventure. The trail, spanning over 4,000 meters, features alpine meadows, rocky terrain, and snow-covered peaks. Trekkers may encounter yaks and local herdsmen.     Trek to Thorong Phedi (4450 m) 5 hours.

    The journey starts with breakfast in Yak Kharka and continues with a leisurely ascent towards your overnight resting place. The high-altitude scenery is breathtaking as you ascend a ridge. You descend to the Marsyangdi River, where you cross a bridge to a tea shop. After climbing a narrow path, you descend to Thorung Phedi. You can spend the afternoon trekking up to High Camp or unwinding with fellow trekkers.

    Trek to Muktinath (3800 m) via Thorung La Pass (5416 m) 8 hours.

    The journey begins with a four-hour hike to the summit of Thorung La, the highest point of the Annapurna Circuit, at 5400m(17,717 feet). The peak offers stunning views of Mustang and Kaligandaki valleys and towering peaks. The descent is strenuous, but the base at Chabarbu offers a relaxing teahouse. The trek continues along zigzagging paths towards lower Mustang, eventually returning to the sacred village of Muktinath, where views of Dhaulagiri are unparalleled.

    Trek to Jomsom (2720 meters) 5 hours.

    On a relaxed day, you'll start your downhill hike towards Jomsom village, passing by Lupra village, home to the renowned Bonpo monastery. This route offers a peaceful experience away from crowds and jeeps. Before reaching Jomsom, you'll ascend the Kali Gandaki River and traverse a windswept valley. By early afternoon, you'll arrive at Jomsom village to unwind and celebrate the trek's completion.
