From ancient temples and palaces to vibrant markets and traditional villages, there's plenty to see and do on a Nepalese heritage and culture tour.

One of the highlights of any heritage and cultural tour in Nepal is visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Sites scattered across the country. These places include historic cities like Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Patan, which are home to well-preserved palaces, temples and courtyards that date back centuries. In these ancient cities, visitors can stroll through narrow lanes lined with traditional Newari buildings, admire intricate wood carvings and metalwork, and watch local artisans at work.

Nepal's rural villages outside the cities offer a glimpse into a traditional way of life that has remained virtually unchanged for generations. Visitors can participate in cultural activities such as traditional dance performances, pottery making and cooking classes, giving them a first-hand insight into the rich cultural heritage of the Nepalese people.

Of course, no historical and cultural tour of Nepal would be complete without a visit to the country's majestic Himalayan mountain ranges. Whether you're hiking the Annapurna region, exploring Everest Base Camp, or simply taking in breathtaking mountain views from a scenic vantage point, the Himalayas are a must-see for any visitor to Nepal.

Apart from its natural and cultural attractions, Nepal is also known for its warm and friendly people. The main features of Swoyambhunath include "The Five Buddhas." Guheshwari, a short drive from Bouddha, is a place where Sati, the consort of Shiva, immolated herself due to her father's insult. Shiva, stricken with grief, wandered the skies with her corpse, creating 51 sacred sites. Her private parts fell to earth, thus the name "Guheshwari." Pashupatinath Temple, famous for its two-tiered golden roof and silver doors, is located near the banks of the sacred Bagmati River.
