Located at 6,920 meters (22,700 ft) in the Dhaulagiri range, Tukuche Peak is a popular destination for climbers due to its dramatic, snow-capped summit and surrounding natural beauty. The region offers terraced fields, lush forests and picturesque villages that reflect the rich cultural tapestry of the Gurung and Magar communities. 

The trek offers diverse ecosystems, including subtropical forests and alpine meadows with wildflowers. Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and other surrounding peaks are notable highlights of the trek and offer opportunities for photography and contemplation. 

The Tukuche expedition begins in Pokhara, the gateway to the Himalayas, and continues to Jomsom, Muktinath, Thini and Kagbeni. Acclimatization is key due to Tukuche Peak's altitude, with hikers spending several days acclimatizing to the altitude before heading to the summit. This period is also an opportunity to engage with local communities, learn about their customs and sample traditional Nepali cuisine.
