MERA PEAK TREK & CLIMBING

Located in the quiet and remote Hinku Valley of Nepal, Mera Peak is one of the most sought after trekking peaks in the Mount Everest region. Although it does not present significant technical challenges, the standard route to the top is long, demanding and requires a commendable level of physical fitness. Aspiring Mera Peak climbers should be proficient with ice axes, crampons and basic alpine climbing skills.
There are different approaches to Mera Peak, some allowing enough time for essential acclimatization while others do not. The key to success on Mera Peak is to adopt a gradual and measured approach that allows enough time for acclimatization. Unfortunately, in 2022 the success rate on Mera Peak barely exceeded 50%, mainly due to lack of fitness and acclimatization. However, if you are prepared enough and looking for an authentically challenging Himalayan adventure, Mera Peak presents the perfect opportunity.
Mera Peak can be climbed during spring or autumn when the weather is relatively stable. Upon reaching the summit, you will be rewarded with a breathtaking panorama of many towering 8,000m peaks, including Nuptse, Everest, Lhotse, Makalu and Mt. Kangchenjunga.
