CHULU EAST PEAK CLIMBING

The Chulu East Peak Climbing Expedition is known for its challenging nature and exceptional mountain views. It offers a unique combination of trekking, mountain climbing and exposure to the rich cultural heritage of Nepal. Situated at an impressive height of 6,584 meters above the Manang Valley, Chulu East Peak offers stunning panoramic views of the majestic Himalayas, including Dhaulagiri (8167m), Manaslu (8163m), Annapurna (8091m) and other magnificent peaks .

In addition, this expedition allows hikers to see the captivating beauty of the Annapurna range, which is over 40 miles long and includes twelve peaks above 7,000 meters, along with many others that exceed 6,000 meters. The region also boasts diverse ecosystems, from lush green rice paddies and oak forests to arid deserts. In addition, tourists can explore the deepest gorge and encounter some of the most amazing mountains in the world.     Arrive Kathmandu & Transfer to HOTEL

    On arrival to Tribhuvan International Airport(TIA), you will be greeted by our representative and transferred towards your hotel

    Full day guided sightseeing inside the Kathmandu valley

    We begin our guided tour at the Kathmandu Durbar Square, home to the palaces of the medieval kings who ruled the then Kingdom of Kathmandu. Pashupatinath contains the sacred lingum or the symbol of Lord Shiva. Aryaghat near Pashupati and on the banks of the Bagmati River is a famous Hindu cemetery. Boudhanath Buddhist Shrine is one of the largest stupas in the world and one of the holiest Buddhist pilgrimage and tourist sites in Kathmandu. The Boudhnath area is also famous for more than 50 Tibetan gompas or monasteries. Swayambhu, which means "self-existent", is popular among foreigners as a monkey temple due to the large population of monkeys living in the area. Overnight in Kathmandu.

    Drive: Kathmandu to Chame (7 hrs.), Camp

    Today we will drive from Kathmandu to Chame. Overnight stay in Chame

    Trek from Chame to Pisang (3300m / 6 hrs.), Camp

    A 6 hours trek from Chame will move you towards Pisang

    Trek to Yak-Kharka (4210 / 6 hrs.) Camp

    We will trek towards Yak Kharka in a 6 hours time. Overnight stay at camp in Yak Kharka.

    Continue to Chulu-East Base Camp (5140m / 5 hrs.). Overnight Camp.

    Today we will continue our journey towards Chulu East Base Camp.

    Rest day for acclimatization at Base Camp. Explore the surrounding.

    To get the most from your trek, and to stay safe, it is important to follow acclimatization guidelines. At Makalu Adventure, whenever possible, we follow the acclimatization formula set out by Drs Jim Duff and Peter Gormly; experts in Wilderness Medicine. "Above 2000m, altitude illness is a possibility and above 2500m it becomes common". "As a rough guide, above 2500m the maximum daily height gain between sleeping altitudes should not exceed 400m, with a rest day every third day or after every 1000m of sleeping ascent". "Avoid overexertion and breathlessness while acclimatizing, stay well hydrated, avoid alcohol, excess caffeine, salt and protein, your diet should be 70% carbohydrate above 3500m".

    Ascend High Camp of Chulu-East (5600m), return back or stay there. Overnight Camp.

    Today we will ascend towards high camp of Chulu.

    Make the summit of Chulu East (6584m) and return the base camp (7 hrs.). Overnight at base camp

    Today will the day to make the final summit of Chulu East and return back to the base camp. Overnight camp at Chulu base camp.

    Trek to Manang (3540m / 5 hrs.) Camp

    Today we will trek towards Manang.

    Today our journey will continue towards Letdar.

    Letdar / Thorung Phedi (4450m / 6 hrs.),Camp

    We will move from Letdar to Thorung Phedi. Whole night camp in Thorung Phedi.

    Cross Thorung La (5416m/ 6 hrs.). Cont.inue to Muktinath (3800m/ 2 hrs),Camp

    Today we will be crossing Thorung La Pass and move towards Muktinath. Whole night camp at Muktinath

    Muktinath to Jomsom (2710m / 4 hrs.)

    Today we will be moving from Muktinath to Jomsom

    Flight: Jomsom - Pokhara. Free time. HOTEL

    After early breakfast, we will be taking a flight from Jomsom to Pokhara. Explore Pokhara and overnight at Hotel.

    Flight: Pokhara - Kathmandu. HOTEL Overnight.

    Today we will move from Pokhara towards Kathmandu by a flight and overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.
