MOUNT KUN EXPEDITION

The Mount Kun Peak Climbing Expedition is an exciting adventure for adventurous mountaineers who want to experience the highest peaks in India and around the world. The twin mountains, Mt Kun and Mt Nun, are located 250 km from Srinagar in the Suru Valley of Kargil District. The expedition is full of unforeseen challenges, making it exciting especially for the brave. The climb to the top of Mt Kun at an impressive altitude of 7077 meters will test your physical and mental strength.

Mt Kun is part of a snow-covered 4km massif that includes Pinnacle Peak (6930m), the third highest peak of this amazing massif. The first successful summit of Mt Kun dates back to 1913 by an Italian mountaineering team led by Mario Lorenzo Borelli. The second peak was reached by the Indian Army expedition in 1971 after fifty eight years.

The Mount Kun expedition in India requires climbers to have specific skills and a professional mountaineering certificate or alternative mountaineering experience in high-altitude mountaineering. Climbing Nun Kun in India is often planned as a double expedition to both mountains. Kun Mountaineering, Trekking and Climbing Expedition in India is reserved for experienced mountaineers only.

Among other Indian Himalayan expeditions above 7000m in India, Mt Kun 7077m provides a perfect training expedition before Everest. Kahlur Adventures offers a fully guided Mt Kun summit tour, dedicated to planning the best climbing expedition in India.
