BROAD PEAK EXPEDITION PAKISTAN

It is known for its challenging climbing routes, steep ridges and extreme weather conditions, making it a favorite among experienced climbers looking for an epic challenge. The unique pyramid shape and towering summit of Broad Peak offers breathtaking views of the surrounding peaks, glaciers and valleys, making it a must-visit destination for adventure seekers.

The first successful ascent of Broad Peak was achieved in 1957 by an Austrian expedition led by Marcus Schmuck and Fritz Wintersteller. Since then, many climbers have attempted to scale this formidable peak, some successfully reaching the summit while others have tragically lost their lives in the process. The mountain's unpredictable weather conditions and technical difficulties pose significant risks to climbers and require careful planning, skill and determination to succeed.

    Arrival Islamabad

    The journey begins with the arrival in Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan. After spending a brief time in Islamabad, travelers will take a flight to Skardu, a breathtaking destination known for its stunning landscapes and mountain vistas. The flight presents an incredible view as the aircraft soars over the majestic mountains, providing an unforgettable experience.

    Islamabad to Skardu (By Air)/ Drive to Chilas

    After spending a brief time in Islamabad, travelers will take a flight to Skardu, a breathtaking destination known for its stunning landscapes and mountain vistas. The flight presents an incredible view as the aircraft soars over the majestic mountains, providing an unforgettable experience. In the case there is no flight, we will depart for Skardu by road. Overnight stay in hotel at Chilas.

    Chilas to Skardu

    In case no flight, the day will be used for over land travel from Chilas to Skardu (total drive is 22 โ€“ 24 hrs from Islamabad to Skardu). Overnight stay in hotel at Skardu.

    Rest day at Skardu

    A rest day in Skardu allows for acclimatization to the altitude and offers a chance to explore the local culture and cuisine. Visitors can enjoy the serene beauty of the surrounding landscapes, visit nearby attractions, or simply relax and prepare for the trek ahead.

    Skardu to Askole

    Following the rest day, the journey progresses from Skardu to Askole.     From Askole, the trek continues to Jhula.     Climbing Activities

    The next segment consists of a series of climbing activities spanning from day 13 through day 42. During this period, climbers engage in various tasks that include acclimatization, peak attempts, and skill development necessary for high-altitude climbing.

    Gasherbrum Base camp to Ali Camp

    After the climbing activities, the expedition moves from Gasherbrum Base Camp to Ali Camp. This transfer brings climbers closer to the challenges that lie ahead.

    Ali Camp โ€“ Cross Gondogoro Pass โ€“ Khuspang

Islamabad is home to many important government buildings, including the Parliament House and the Supreme Court, showcasing the country's governance.

    Depart Islamabad

    Final day of the journey to Broad Peak. On this day, you will say goodbye to Pakistan and move towards your next destination or to your home country.
