TSUM VALLEY TREK

The Tsum Valley Trek is a stunning and sacred Himalayan adventure that takes travelers to the remote and lesser-known Tsum Valley in Nepal. Located in the northern part of Gorkha district, Tsum Valley is a hidden gem that offers an unusual experience for those looking for a unique and culturally rich hiking adventure.
The journey to Tsum Valley begins with a scenic drive from Kathmandu to Arughat, followed by a trek through picturesque villages, lush forests and breathtaking landscapes. As you head higher into the mountains, you will be surrounded by snow-capped peaks, pristine rivers and stunning views of the Himalayas.
One of the highlights of the Tsum Valley trek is the opportunity to explore ancient Buddhist monasteries, including the famous Mu Gompa, Rachen Gompa and Dephyudonma Gompa. These monasteries are not only spiritual sanctuaries but also architectural marvels with intricate wood carvings, colorful prayer flags and amazing murals depicting Buddhist deities and symbols.
During the trek you will also have the opportunity to interact with the local Tsumba people who are renowned for their hospitality and warm smiles. You will learn about their customs, traditions and way of life and get an insight into a culture that has remained largely untouched by modernity.
Tsum Valley is also home to a variety of wildlife, including the elusive snow leopard, Himalayan tharu and red panda. Nature lovers will be delighted by the opportunity to see these rare and endangered species in their natural habitat, adding an element of excitement to the trek.
The Tsum Valley trek is not for the faint hearted as the rugged terrain, high altitudes and unpredictable weather can present challenges to even the most experienced hikers. However, the rewards far outweigh the hardships as you will be rewarded with unforgettable memories, breathtaking views and a deep sense of calm and peace.
